Mandela’s spirit lives on!

Mandela Day celebrates the life of Nelson Mandela and his selfless service to South Africa and the world. It is also a call to action, encouraging everyone to give of their time, do something for other and make a difference.

This year, Power of 9 chose to make a difference at Fallen Angels and Hospice.

Half of the Power of 9 team took the morning off work to give love to the fur babies at Fallen Angels Pet Rescue. We also donated food, blankets and toys.

The rest of the Power of 9 team, spent their afternoon assisting the St Luke’s Hospice in their shop; sorting, counting, filing and steaming!

Club Travel Corporate

Club Travel Corporate chose The Red Ribbon Foundation as part of their Mandela Day project from the 30 wishes Project where they partnered with Avis and purchased 250 meals to feed 250 people and later handed over non-perishable food items at Harmony Clinic also as part of their initiative project.

Droogfontein Solar Power

Droogfontein Solar Power chose Tlhokomelo Day Care Centre as part of their project for Mandela Day by providing much needed equipment to Tlhokomelo Day Care Centre.


Jeffreys Bay Wind Farm

Jeffreys Bay Wind Farm chose Mandela Bay Creche as part of their project for Mandela Day by painting the inside and outside of the school.

De Aar Solar Power

De Aar Solar Power chose Houtkraal Farm School for their Mandela Day project and supplied crafty paint equipment, stationary, clay, puzzles and beads to 60 learners to help bring fun back into the school.

Globeleq South African Management Services

Globeleq South African Management Services chose Maitland Cottage Hospital as their project for Mandela Day by decorating marie biscuits and painting faces of the children.
